Mitch and I worked on this project a few months ago now? It just sort of started as a fun creative outlet with no strong direction and turned into one of my favourite things that I've had the chance to work on.
A windy day and little synth working together until silence is the correct next step. A release of mine that I like.
This was my first field recording project inspired by a few weeks of living alone in a cold early covid lockdown winter where I regularly closed at a grocery store.
I love the radio. It shaped me as a person and it continues to offer me comfort and an opportunity for exporation. I love being able to go somewhere and be faced with new stations, voices, songs and advertisements. I love that is it has regionality and capturing the signal responds to dips and peaks in the earth. I love hearing a radio connection fade out, fade in and fade over each other. I'm greatful for the last bastions of community radio still meeting CTRC requirements, and simultaneously I am grateful for the digital options that have materialised in the past 20 years. A real record selector is a holy role.
